Soledad Container Village
Soledad, CA | mixed-use/retail/office | hospitality/f&b | urban design/planning
Teaming with the City of Soledad, Crafted Destinations, and PGAdesign, ELS designed the proposed Soledad Container Village to be the centerpiece of Soledad on Front Street and a new draw for the entire Salinas Valley Region.
Bustling with food & beverage vendors, retail shops, and people from all walks of life, the Soledad Container Village is a unique destination on Highway 101. The repurposed shipping containers are used to create a meeting spot for musical entertainment, diverse food opportunities, and retail vendors.
A series of vertical towers on the northern edge of the site, along Highway 101, serve as a beacon to attract travelers passing by. The grounds are beautifully landscaped to provide park opportunities, whether it’s catching a musical performance on stage or just relaxing under the trees in the center of it all. The team is currently working with the City on a Front Street visioning project that will reinvigorate Downtown Soledad as an exciting new hub of activity.
