ELS Architecture and Urban Design is looking for a creative, collaborative, and motivated architects and architecture graduates with wide ranges of experience to join our team for permanent, full-time assignments. We are currently looking to fill positions in a variety of exciting project types:

Community Resource Projects

Municipal, Non-Profit, Private K12 Education
$5-15MM Construction Cost

Mixed-Use Projects

Retail/Residential/Commercial Office/Hospitality
$50-100MM Construction Cost

Municipal Community and Recreation Projects

$50-90MM Construction Costs

    Senior Technical Architect, 7+ Years Experience +
  • ELS Architecture + Urban Design is looking for a creative, collaborative, and motivated senior architect to join our team for a permanent, full-time assignment.

    Responsibilities
    • Develop construction details that meet project design intent

    • Assist in preparing construction drawings and consultant coordination

    • Research code and materials relevant to project

    • Ongoing review of construction documents for accuracy and completeness

    • Mentoring and training staff

    • Cultivating an environment to achieve design excellence

    Qualified candidates should have
    • 7+ years of architectural experience

    • Architectural registration preferred

    • BA in Architecture, BArch, or MArch

    • Thorough knowledge of architectural drafting, detailing, building materials, building codes, and zoning codes

    • Experience in Revit and AutoCAD

    • Ability to work well in a team environment and individually

    • Experience with Type I and II Construction

    • Sports and recreation experience a plus

    Desired qualifications
    • BA in Architecture, B.Arch, or M.Arch

    • 3–5 years architectural work experience

    • Skilled in architectural rendering and detailing

    • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, V-Ray, and other visualization software

    • Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

    • Progress toward California preferred—full registration a plus

    • Ability to work well in a team environment and individually

    • Assist Project Manager in prototype development, planning, and site test-fits

    • Assist Project Manager in developing project documents, schedules and specifications

    • Coordinate work within the consultant team

    • Supervise and coordinate the work of junior team members

    • Cultivate an environment of organization to achieve excellence

    desired qualifications
    • 3-7 years of architectural design and technical experience

    • Ability to track and coordinate multiple projects in various phases of planning, design, and construction

    • Architectural registration preferred

    • BA in Architecture, BArch or MArch

    • Thorough knowledge of architectural detailing, building materials and codes

    • Experience with Type II Construction

    • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (modeling, production, best practices)

    • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

    • Ability to work well in team environment and individually

    • Fitness, Recreation, and Aquatics experience a plus
