    Retail Architect, 12+ Years Experience +
  • ELS Architecture + Urban Design is looking for a creative, collaborative, and motivated retail-centric architect to join our team for a permanent, full-time assignment.

    Our East Bay office in downtown Berkeley is looking for a talented Senior Project Architect to join our Retail practice. As a seasoned architect with technical expertise in commercial retail projects, you have experience with leading teams to deliver tenant improvements for retailers as well as core + shell architecture for landlords and developers.

    Responsibilities:
    • Manage internal and external teams to deliver project documentation and construction administration.
    • Communication between project teams, clients, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials
    • Oversee creation of project manual and specifications
    • Ability to manage multiple small projects and teams
    Ideal Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
    • 12+ years of project experience in an architectural practice
    • Licensed or registered architect in the state of California
    • Expert knowledge and experience with Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and MS Office
    • Deep knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and green building strategies.
    • LEED accreditation a plus
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with teams as well as construction contractors and subcontractors.
