I take inspiration from my hometown, Taipei, where there is no real aesthetic order in public yet where the interiors are highly functional. I am interested in how the idea of “space” serves to connect users with our broader context. I think it’s also why I am drawn to ELS’ approach to balancing public programming with the more technical aspects of architecture.
