Nina Joe
Architect
As a kid, I would sit in the architecture section of Barnes & Noble and look at treehouse designs. I was drawn to the marrying of architecture and nature, to create a place that felt safe. ELS’ commitment to sustainability and equity combines my passion for impacting our environment and community.

best vacation
In 2014 I got to spend two weeks in France with my aunt, uncles and grand-mere. The first week we stayed at a chateau in a little town 4 hours southwest of Paris. I got to ride a bike through the vineyards wearing a beret with a baguette in my basket. The second week was spent in Paris, eating and drinking and seeing art. I feel so lucky I got to experience this with my grandmother before she passed a few years later.
