Modernizing and re-envisioning the world’s incubator of Olympic swimmers

Site Plan

ELS has been working with Santa Clara and local groups for over two years on the design of the new Santa Clara Community Recreation Center, International Swim Center, and International Swimming Hall of Fame. The new and expanded CRC/ISC/ISHoF will include a flexible theater and performing arts venue, arts classrooms, a state-of-the-art indoor gym, exercise studios, an indoor fitness course, early childhood enrichment space, after-school program space, and new pools, including a fun water pool, a training and recreational pool, a competition pool, and a performance diving tank. The LEED-Platinum, zero net energy-ready, and resilient design will return a world-class aquatics venue to Santa Clara, increasing the amount of both competitive and recreational programming available.
