Stonestown Galleria

San Francisco, CA | retail/mixed use
1/3

What to do with an empty department store? Redevelop it with entertainment and a grocery store.

Food Hall Concept

ELS is working with Brookfield Properties Retail on the redevelopment of the Macy’s building at Stonestown Galleria. This plan reconfigures the former Macy’s into a new mix of tenants that include a 12-screen Regal Cinemas, a Whole Foods grocery store, local retailer Sports Basement, as well as small shops and restaurants. The San Francisco center’s transformation is aimed at engaging the area’s diverse population and enhancing the already popular shopping, dining, and entertainment district available to residents and visitors. The design has made a point to repurpose as much of the existing structure as possible to avoid demolition. When the renovation is completed, Stonestown Galleria will be home to over 100 retailers and more than 800,000 square feet of leasable space.
