Wells Fargo Center for the Arts Reopens

The renovated Wells Fargo Center for the Arts reopens tonight with Patti LaBelle in concert! The San Francisco Chronicle featured the project on the cover of its “96 Hours” section on Thursday, August 15th, and the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts has shared a sneak peek of the theater on its renovation blog.

ELS led the renovation and started working on the Center in 2008 with a master plan followed by the renovation of the Lytton Rancheria Grand Lobby. The Luther Burbank Memorial Foundation, which owns and operates Wells Fargo Center for the Arts, hired ELS to assist in upgrading the facilities, enhancing patron and artist experience, improving accessibility, and allowing greater programmatic flexibility at the 31-year-old arts and events center. This first phase that began in mid-May with a renovation of the Ruth Finley Person Theater opens tonight in time for the start of the Center’s 2013–2014 season.
