ELS is honored to have been named a JUST 2.0 organization by the International Living Future Institute (ILFI).
Serving as a “nutrition label” for socially just and equitable organizations, a JUST label represents a commitment to transparency and social justice based on the six measurable categories: diversity and inclusion, equity, employee health, employee benefits, stewardship, and purchasing and supply chain.
In a similar fashion to the Living Building Challenge’s Declare® Program, the JUST™ label is the ILFI’s social justice and equity transparency tool for organizations. JUST™ is a voluntary disclosure program and not a verification or certification. Being named a JUST™ organization signifies ELS’ commitment to social equity, transparency, and diversity in our practice.
Francis Janes, Associate Director of the ILFI, said: “The International Living Future Institute is very pleased to award the JUST 2.0 Label to ELS Architecture + Urban Design. ELS is the very first organization to achieve JUST 2.0 status in the state of California and the second such organization in the United States. The JUST 2.0 Label recognizes ELS’s commitment to social equity in the workplace.”
