ICSC is a major trade organization that advances the real estate needs of retailers worldwide. We’re proud to announce that our team’s renovation of the North Block at Hillsdale Shopping Center has won Gold at ICSC’s 2021 Global Design & Development Awards, as announced at this year’s CenterBuild conference. The project also won a Commendation for Sustainable Design.
Recognition at this level is a big win for ELS. The North Block out-scored other winning projects located in places like Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuwait, Australia, the Philippines, and Canada.
An anchor for the north end of a two-story interior regional shopping center, the North Block has a soaring dining terrace overlooking a dense plaza lined with shops and restaurants. The project creates a new (and much-needed) public gathering place and substantially expands the area’s retail offerings. As part of an emerging transit-oriented district, the upgraded Hillsdale Shopping Center provides people from all over with range of options for sharing experiences and celebrating life.
