This is San Jose’s only site that is completely devoted to supporting unhoused families as they transition to permanent homes. We developed the project’s concept design and design-build criteria documentation, focusing on creating a strong sense of place and connection amid a safe and supportive environment.

During the pandemic, our staff expedited work on the design documents so that the city could provide interim housing as quickly as possible. In addition to its housing units, the site holds a playground, picnic area, garden, dog park, support services, communal kitchen and laundry room.
