ELS Architecture and Urban Design is dedicated to social justice and equity in the workplace – a belief that powers our deep respect for one another throughout the firm and to others throughout the world with whom we collaborate. We strive to live and work in a setting based upon these important values.
Recent events have reminded us of how we cannot have social justice or equity without defeating systemic racism; Black, Indigenous and People of Color have been subjected to injustice and inequality for far too long. We condemn racism and encourage each of us to engage in the necessary conversations and listen to help move us forward.
Accordingly, ELS is committed to supporting two organizations on the frontlines of furthering social justice and equity: NOMA (National Organization of Minority Architects) and the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund.
About the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA):
NOMA’s mission, rooted in a rich legacy of activism, is to empower its membership to foster justice and equity in communities of color through outreach, community advocacy, professional development and design excellence. Be BRAVE.

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Legal Defense and Educational Fund “Fights for equality, access to education, employment, health care, housing, environmental justice, voting rights, criminal justice.
