The project is a comprehensive renovation of the Berkeley’s Adult Mental Health Services Clinic, aimed at providing a safe, secure, and accessible facility for community-based mental health services. Renovations to the historic building, built in 1925, include seismic improvements, tenant improvements, and upgrades to the electrical, lighting, and mechanical systems. ELS and the City of Berkeley worked with Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (aka Berkeley Lab) to achieve ZNE, reducing energy use and using innovative daylighting strategies.
