This new Kinesiology and Wellness Building provides a modern, architecturally dramatic, fully accessible facility for students and the local community.

Site Plan

Home to the Athletics, Kinesiology, and Dance Department, the new, LEED Gold-certified building includes classrooms for wellness activities, a fitness area, a competition basketball gymnasium, an instructional aquatics pool, and a competition pool with spectator areas. Classrooms offer state-of-the-art settings for dance, Pilates, indoor cycling, and other fitness and wellness activities. The gym, furnished with retractable bleachers, hosts volleyball and basketball classes as well as intercollegiate athletic events. In addition, the facility provides the community with a public membership enterprise fitness facility with pool access. From the activated roof’s running track and yoga space, users can experience panoramic bay views.
