This regional retail destination suffered from not knowing if it was a covered mall or a power center. The outward-facing big boxes were successful while the inline shops on the inside of the mall suffered. The opportunity to acquire the development store anchor allowed the center to redefine itself as an open air retail environment while positioning itself to be a retail power center.
