Uytengsu Aquatics Center, University of Southern California

Los Angeles, CA | Sports & Recreation, Education

Renovation and expansion of the former USC McDonald’s Olympic Swim Stadium, the newly named USC Uytengsu Aquatics Center boasts new stadium features including permanent seating for 1,500 spectators, new shade canopy structure, lighting for night time competitive events, and the ability to flex to accommodate 2,500 spectators for larger events. Opened February 2014, the new center provides an array of student-athlete and coach amenities including new locker rooms, team rooms, lounges and offices. In addition, the project gives USC’s championship intercollegiate aquatic sports a revived and proud presence along McClintock Avenue, the campus athletics corridor.
