Uytengsu Aquatic Center, University of Southern California

Renovation and expansion of the former USC McDonald’s Olympic Swim Stadium, the newly named USC Uytengsu Aquatic Center will boast new stadium features including permanent seating for 1,500 spectators, new shade canopy structure, lighting for night time competitive events, and the ability to flex to accommodate 2,500 spectators for larger events. The new center will also provide an array of student-athlete and coach amenities including new locker rooms, team rooms, lounges and offices. In addition, the project will give USC’s championship intercollegiate aquatic sports a revived and proud presence along McClintock Avenue, the campus athletics corridor. The project will start construction in January 2013.
