Clarke Quay Retail and Entertainment Center

Five blocks of abandoned historic warehouses and shophouses were expanded, adapted, and carefully restored to create a new retail and cultural district along the Singapore riverfront. Winner of three international design awards, Clarke Quay has revitalized the historic commercial district with outdoor dining and open-air shopping streets – a successful counterpoint to the anonymous high-rise complexes elsewhere in this modern city-state.

“Clarke Quay is the largest of the conservation projects in Singapore. The scale and detailing of these buildings complement rather than mimic their older neighbors.” – Trends magazine
