Church Street Plaza

Evanston, Illinois | Retail & Mixed Use

Adjacent to Northwestern University and served by two commuter train lines, this mixed-use complex creates a new, thriving center on a former brownfield site. ELS assisted the developer, with input from the City of Evanston and Northwestern University, in creating a masterplan, assembling land, and securing community support for the project which has been a significant catalyst for reinvigorating downtown Evanston. The program includes a retail and cinema pavilion, hotel, offices and a residential tower served, in part, by a district parking structure. (DeStefano + Partners was the architect of record).
